Sampish Family

Formal family foto. Note Jay pulling toy horse out of Ethan's mouth.

Very few can pull off neon green and hot pink with matching boots, hat, and tights.; the rest of us are clearly not cool enough for the look.

Another fashion-forward tot.

Fun in the snow

Matt and Sara's Photo Shoot (compliments of Gaby)

Okay...I should start bringing Gaby along on my shoots. She gives great direction for posing; I've never laughed so hard in my life.

And, of course, Bridger couldn't stand to be left out of the fun.

Thanksgiving

Two photographers in the house, and we have 3 pictures of Thanksgiving day:

1. The bird.

2. Mom and me trying to figure out how, exactly, we're supposed to get the bird into the roasting pan. (What?!? The directions don't explain how to do this???)

3. Mom and Gaby pre-eating. (I'm sure they'll both appreciate this shot.)

Michele and Matt

I love shooting in downtown Denver! Thanks Michele and Matt for showing me your favorite spots; they were all new to me! You guys are awesome.

Ashlee's Trash-the-Dress

They're here! And, only a week later than promised. Ashlee's such a rock star. I can't believe all the things she did to this dress!

This horse followed Ashlee around like a puppy; no lead rope needed. Pretty cute.

Favorite moment of the day? The horse spitting the dress out of its mouth.

Scariest moment of the day? Trying to take pictures while 25 (that's right, 25!) ticked off horses attempt to reclaim their dinner bowl.

Moments before the photographer is rushed to the ER. (Okay, not really, but doesn't it look like the horse is about to kick directly into the lens? Eek!)

And, we finished the shoot by letting the puppies attack the hem; they were pretty determined to help trash the dress.

I love engagement sessions, Part 2

I'd never even heard of Mead, CO before I met Jacquelyn and Derek. But they're from there and they met there, so I thought it would be neat to do their shoot there. What a cool little town! I love it! Thanks to Mile High Dairy for letting us shoot on their dirt mound; it's my new favorite photo spot!

I love engagement sessions!

Kelly and Peter were super brave letting me shoot pictures of them in very public places. You'd never know from these pics that they had an audience of strangers! Thanks to His Place coffee shop and Kitchen Alley for allowing us to turn their businesses into photo studios.
