Erin's Graduating!

Oh Tyra...do I have the girl for you.  I'm pretty sure that if I had legs this long, I would've dropped out of school to model.  I tip my hat to you, Erin.  Best of luck in all you do (and, if you're taking suggestions, I say audition for America's Next Top Model, but that's just me).

Honey Harvest

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best -- " and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called.

Our friends have bees in their backyard.  Since the moment they got them, Matt and I have been completely obsessed, bombarding our friends with bee-related questions every time we're there.  So, we're pretty sure their primary objective for inviting us to help them harvest their honey was to end the onslaught.  It certainly worked.  I went to the "History of Beekeeping in Northern Colorado" exhibit at the Loveland Museum two weeks ago, and I didn't learn nearly as much as I did from one afternoon of harvesting honey.

It's been  a week since we harvested honey, and we're still a touch hyperglycemic.

Katie's Graduating!

Another occasion for Sir Edward Elgar to do his thing, yay!  This time it's in celebration of this Gwyneth Paltrow lookalike.  Thanks for letting me shoot your senior pics, Katie.  You are so stinkin' cute!  A huge thank you, too, to Osborn Farm for letting us shoot on the property.  Your place is amazing!  (May I please come live here?)

Darrin & Tanya are Married!

Well, this wedding wins the "Most Gorgeous Venue" award.  I felt like we were at a villa in Tuscany all day.  (It is very likely that I'm not the only one to feel this way; it was, after all, called "The Villa Parker.")

How much do I love it when the bridal party really goes after the garter and bouquet?  SO MUCH!  Being (okay, more than) slightly competitive myself, it makes me ridiculously happy to see people pitted against each other to catch wedding paraphernalia in mid air. Cheers to the victors; those were well-earned wins!

Congratulations Darrin and Tanya!  I hope you two have a wonderful life together.

Valerie's Trash-the-Dress

So, Valerie has a 22 month old and an 8 month old, and her wedding dress fits her perfectly.  All I can say is...wow.  And, boy does she know how to work the camera.  You look gaaahhhgeous, daahhhling!
